A mouse likes to devour plants and cereal grains but it can consume just anything in the house including carton boxes. It constructs a nest in disguised locations preferably near food and water. The nest can be made of soft materials like torn papers and fabrics. It can breed 10 times a year, each litter giving birth to 5 or six young ones. The offspring start to reproduce as soon as six weeks of age. Then they live for around one year.

Mouse Prevention Techniques
1. Filling Holes with Steel Wool
Mice literally chew almost any material when they are searching for food. The only substance they cannot stand is steel wool. If your kitchen, vents, bathroom, or attic has holes, consider filling them with steel wool. This method will keep the mice off.
2. Natural Mice Deterrent
This method is used where the infestation is not serious. Whip a powerful concoction of these ingredients: cayenne pepper, garlic, plus salad oil with horseradish. Let the mixture stay for a number of days and then strain it into a spray bottle. Apply it on areas you suspect mouse infestation.
3. Keep a Cat
Cats love to hunt rats and mice. A cat is actually a sweet companion that will also ensure that the mice are gone. Your cat ends up having a delicious meal while you enjoy a rodent-free environment. Never use poison to kill mice when you have a cat. We don’t recommend the use of chemicals because they are harmful to the environment and pets.
